Internship at KAYA Angola

## Your mission We are looking for students or recent graduates who are interested in gaining hands-on experience at one of KAYA’s project sites in Malanje, Angola.

The internship offers hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of our projects, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in a real project environment and learn from an experienced team working on nature-based solutions.

## Your responsibilities Depending on your academic background and the needs of our projects, you may support activities such as:

• Forest and vegetation monitoring
• Supporting theteam with day-to-day project activities
• Assistingwith the planning and coordination of field activities
• Data collection and documentation
• Assistingwithlogisticsandorganisationrelated to project activities
• Assistancewith restoration and land-management activities
• Support with project monitoring and reporting
• Helpingpreparereports,presentationsand other project documentation
• Collaboration with local project teams and communities
• Other practical activities related to KAYA’s projects in Angola

The exact responsibilities will be agreed based on your studies, skills, and the needs of the project. ## Your profile We welcome students and recent graduates from Angola and other countries who are pursuing or have recently completed studies in fields relevant to KAYA’s work, such as:

• Forestry and Forest Sciences
• Environmental Sciences
• Nature Conservation
• Ecology
• Agriculture
• Natural Resource Management
• Geography
• Environmental Engineering
• Other related fields

We are looking for students who:

• Are currently enrolled at a university or have graduated recently
• Are interested in nature conservation, climateactionand sustainable development
• Are motivated to gain practical experience in a project-site environment
• Are willing to contribute to operational and field-based activities
• Areorganised, reliable and willing to take responsibility
• Are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Are willing to learn and adapt to different tasks and working environments
• Speak fluent English; knowledge of Portuguese is highly desirable
• Experience with fieldwork, project operations, data collection,GISor similar activities is an advantage, but is notrequired.

Important: This internship is based at a project site in Malanje Province, rather than in an office environment in Luanda. Applicants should therefore be prepared for a field-based experience and an extended stay at the project site.
